I grew up in the Washington, DC area, where I completed my doctoral education at the University of Maryland.  During my training, I worked in a variety of clinical settings, including the University of Maryland and Georgetown University counseling centers, and the Baltimore VA Hospital.  My internship year of training was spent in New York City, where I worked in several outpatient clinics at Gouverneur Hospital on the Lower East Side, and also did an inpatient rotation at Bellevue Hospital.

After receiving my doctoral degree, I worked for two years as a Staff Psychologist at the James Madison University (JMU) counseling center in Harrisonburg, VA.  In conjunction with my position at JMU, I saw individual clients, led groups, supervised trainees, and taught undergraduate and graduate courses in psychology.  Teaching is another area of interest for me.  I am an adjunct faculty member in the psychology department at Drexel University.  In addition to teaching at Drexel, I have also taught courses at JMU, the University of Maryland, and Lafayette College.

Upon moving to Philadelphia, I opened my solo practice, which is now in its third year of operation.  I am a licensed psychologist in Pennsylvania and Virginia.  In addition, I am certified in clinical hypnosis by the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis (ASCH); and credentialed as a Health Service Provider in Psychology by the National Register.  My organization memberships include ASCH, the American Psychological Association, the Greater Philadelphia Society of Clinical Hypnosis, the Philadelphia Society of Clinical Psychologists, and the Philadelphia Society of Psychoanalytic Psychology.
